The Place Beyond the Bridge:
Redland Wind Band

Katrine was selected to take part in the 2025 Adopt a Music Creator project by Making Music UK, with the support of the PRS Foundation and The Philip and Dorothy Green Music Trust. For this collaborative project, Katrine was paired with Bristol's Redland Wind Band.

The final piece, The Place Beyond the Bridge, was premiered at Trinity Henleaze URC on the 11th of October, 2025.

The work is made up of four movements, depicting a hot air balloon journey over the city, as it picks up the sounds of a changing landscape from 1969 to the present day.

The Place Beyond the Bridge will be recorded in January 2026.

Marchers' Dance:
Ealing W
ind Orchestra

In early 2024, Katrine wrote Marchers' Dance, to be workshopped by Ealing Wind Orchestra. The piece took traditional march music and added themes of reversed and circular motion, using reversed melodies and counter-melodies, overlapping each other.

The work was performed at the orchestra's Christmas concert. Listen to a clip from the recording below.
